Default Call Hold, Call Transfer, Call Conference on Linksys RT31P2 & WRT54GP2

There is a method described on how to transfer a call using a Linksys on Blueface Support

Here's a walkthrough of how I used Call Hold, Call Transfer, and Call Conference - all in one call:

I received a call which I answered. To transfer the caller I did the following:
I briefly pressed & released the hook (the button used to hangup a call) on my phone.
The first call was put on hold (they hear hold music!), I heard dial tone and dialed another number.
The other party answered and we could talk (the first call still on hold listening to the jingle)
Again, I briefly pressed & released the hook
I then had a 3-way conference call.
When I hungup the other 2 parties remained connected.

Note that while in the case above I received the first call, it work work equally if I had initiated that call.

If you're having trouble make sure your phone supports these features; either try it on another line, or borrow a phone that you know supports them.
It's also worth checking that your router is set to enable these features - they should be on by default.

Login to your router as described in Blueface Support
Point your browser here:

Note, I have tested the effect of changing the settings below, but it's a fair guess they should all be activated and this seems to be the default setting.
Navigate to:
Line 1 > Supplementary Service Settings > Three Way Call Serv = Yes
Line 1 > Supplementary Service Settings > Three Way Conf Serv = Yes
Line 1 > Supplementary Service Settings > Attn Transfer Serv = Yes
Line 1 > Supplementary Service Settings > Unattn Transfer Serv = Yes
