Hi folks,
Would just like to see if anyone else has a similar setup to my girlfriend's sister in terms of VOIP setup. A few months ago, I set her up with Blueface, using a Grandstream handy tone 486, she has eircom's broadband and uses their standard Netopia router that comes will all their connections these days. Unfortunately there is NO "DMZ setting" in the netopia (something I like to do with ATA's to make things easy) so I had to forward the ports through to the grandstream manually. The ATA is set with a static IP. I forwarded 5060 UDP to the ATA I forwarded ports 10,000 to 20,000 to the ATA The ATA was set to register every 110 secs. The ATA was also setup as per: http://www.blueface.ie/help/configur...m=handytone486 It all works fine, it registers with Blueface, she can call everyone/anyone and the call quality is perfect. However every 3 or 4 DAYS something happens and the account will start showing as DOWN in the PBX GUI. It isn't though - she can still call outbound anyone she wants including me, but the account never registers with the PBX GUI. In fact it's now gone about 20 days since it was down (from the PBX GUI), but she was nattering to the girlfriend last night for ages when she called us using the blueface phone! Up to this stage (ie for 3 or 4 days when it shows UP) I can call her directly too, but obviously as soon as the "registration is lost" and the account shows down, I start going straight to her voicemail. If I get her to switch the grandstream off then on again (take the plug out and put in back in again) , the system will show as UP for another 3 to 4 days before it starts all over again! To me it seems the netopia is blocking the ATA somehow, but I just don't know what other ports etc to forward. If someone could tell me a way to put the ATA into a DMZ I'd love to do that to bypass the router, but I just don't think the router is capable of that. So - who else uses eircom? Do you have those problems? Have I missed any ports? Or do you have any suggestions? Many thanks if you can help. |
