Linksys PAP2 Firmware Upgrade

Ever wondered how to upgrade the firmware on your PAP2?
Note many PAP2 are locked to specific VoIP providers, you carry out this process at your own risk.


The process is relatively simple:
1) unzip the firmware and place it in a directory on your computer
2) download & install a TFTP server
3) point the TFTP server to the unzipped file
4) log into the PAP2 and tell it to upgrade it's firmware

So those 4 steps are...

1) Save the file to disk and then unzip it.

2&3) A good tftp program is here: http://tftpd32.jounin.net/

4) Copy the URL belo into a web browser it will put the PAP2 into firmware upgrade mode.

http://PAP2IPADDRESS/upgrade?tftp://...S/PAP2-319.bin

In this mode it will download the PAP2-319.bin firmware from the designated TFTP Server

Be sure not to interrupt the upgrade process.
