Question Dedicated ATA or router/ATA combo

Hi there,
I currently have a wireless router (Netgear WGR614 v6) from NTL. I'm trying to decide between:

A.) Getting another wireless router with ATA functionality (e.g. Netgear WGR613v, Linksys WRTP54G, D-Link DVG-G1402S) which cuts down on devices and wires etc

B.) Going for the cheaper option of a dedicated ATA device that will just plug into my router (e.g. Netgear TA612V, D-Link DVG-2001S, Zyxel Prestige 2002)

So what I'd like to know is:

1.) Any opinions on the choice between Router + ATA vs. Router/ATA combo? Is the quality better for one over the other? If the dedicated ATA supports QoS, should it even matter?

2.) Has anyone got much to say on the quality/reliability/ease of use of these devices? I know plenty has been said about the Netgear devices, but does anyone use the others?

Cheers,
Andy.

P.S.
From my own research, I've found out that while the Netgear TA612V and the Zyxel Prestige 2002 have two phone ports, only the Zyxel allows for two different VoIP providers for each port. That gives the oportunity to have blueface and a different VoIP provider configured (say if you found a VoIP provider that offered cheaper mobile calls... )

Hi Andy,

The TA612V and the WGR613 are identical except for the following:

The TA612V has 2 phone ports while the WGR613 only has 1
The TA612V has only 1 Ethernet port while the WGR613 has 3

Both have QoS features and could hold the same quality for VoIP traffic.

The Linksys WRTP54G2 has the best of both devices, 4 Ethernet ports and 2 phone ports.

All 3 devices have a high standard of functionality and are all upgrade-able to the most up-to-date firmwares to ensure you are getting the best you can from your router/ATA.

Although we have not come across the D-Link DVG-2001S have a look at this thread for a bit of feedback from other customers

http://forums.blueface.ie/showthread...ghlight=D-Link

In other words, the Linksys WRTP54G would be a perfect option to integrate all the features of both of the Netgears, however then you are left with a spare Netgear WGR614 with no use.

Price ranges start in the order from cheapest up to most expensive :
D-Link DVG, TA612V, WGR613, WRTP54G2
