Hi Aidan,

There are lots of FXO gateways in every shape and size. To get a feel for the harware available checkout www.voipsupply.com. If you find a unit it's then a good idea to check to see if there is a supplier closer to home such as the UK or Ireland although these days with the US dollar it may be worth buying direct from the US.

Regards,

Aaron

Hi Aidan,

As Aaron said, an FXO ATA SIP gateway is the very man for what you're considering.

We have put AudioCodes MP-114 FXO adapters ...

http://www.audiocodes.com/Content.aspx?voip2803

http://www.voipsupply.com/product_in...earchid=657756

... very successfully onto the back of traditional PBXs for several of our clients and signed them up with Blueface accounts.

The PBX provider then programmed the PBX to allow the clients to choose (either by dialing 8 or 9, or by using line buttons on their handsets) whether to call out through the traditional trunks or through Blueface via the AudioCodes ATA. With a Blueface Business Plan and a decent broadband connection, using the VoIP-enabled lines is a no-brainer.

I have a configuration file for the MP114 which you would be very welcome to. All you'd have to do is use a text editor to put in your Blueface SIP account details, your DNS server IP addresses and your own external IP address, upload it to the MP114 via its web-interface and you'd be up and running.

Give me a shout if you'd like the config file or any further help.

Michael.
