Hi there,
I currently have a wireless router (Netgear WGR614 v6) from NTL. I'm trying to decide between: A.) Getting another wireless router with ATA functionality (e.g. Netgear WGR613v, Linksys WRTP54G, D-Link DVG-G1402S) which cuts down on devices and wires etc B.) Going for the cheaper option of a dedicated ATA device that will just plug into my router (e.g. Netgear TA612V, D-Link DVG-2001S, Zyxel Prestige 2002) So what I'd like to know is: 1.) Any opinions on the choice between Router + ATA vs. Router/ATA combo? Is the quality better for one over the other? If the dedicated ATA supports QoS, should it even matter? 2.) Has anyone got much to say on the quality/reliability/ease of use of these devices? I know plenty has been said about the Netgear devices, but does anyone use the others? Cheers, Andy. P.S. From my own research, I've found out that while the Netgear TA612V and the Zyxel Prestige 2002 have two phone ports, only the Zyxel allows for two different VoIP providers for each port. That gives the oportunity to have blueface and a different VoIP provider configured (say if you found a VoIP provider that offered cheaper mobile calls... ) |
